Lotus Notes claims to “Provides industry-leading calendaring and scheduling functionality, which lets users easily collaborate and schedule meetings with colleagues across the world.” (IBM, “IBM Lotus Notes”) Scheduling meetings, checking availability, and planning trips are made easier with this large scale integration. Most competitor’s calendar, scheduling, and directories are limited to their local servers and often do not include satellite offices or other holdings.
